Goods first receive the appropriate fully-customised packaging, such as pallets, crates
and wooden chests, before subsequent transport by air, sea or road.

Air freight packaging

IATA and ICAO aviation legislation has specific requirements pertaining to the packaging of goods. It’s imperative that nothing goes amiss during transportation. The legislation is extremely strict: goods that are not packaged according to the requisite standard, are not permitted aboard the aircraft.

Sea freight packaging

Our wooden packaging undergoes mechanical protection. It’s extremely important that corrosion-sensitive goods are properly packaged, using shrink film, vacuum bags or plastic foil for example. The crate itself may additionally benefit from a moisture-proof layer, ensuring the safe transport of moisture-absorbing pellets. Hazardous goods are consistently packaged according to the IMDG code.

Road freight packaging

Lorries are highly restricted in terms of volume. Goods must therefore receive minimal packaging to ensure a minimal loss of volume. ADR legislation additionally stipulates that hazardous goods are provided with packaging protection.
